Your favs fall in love in a beautiful place in Ticket to Paradise, the latest from co-writer/director Ol Parker.

There are movies where you’re looking for character nuance and sharp social criticism, and then there are movies where you want to let your hair down and turn off your brain. Ticket to Paradise is the latter, and it’s making no apologies for it.

In the film, a long-divorced couple reunites when they travel to Bali to stop their daughter from marrying a man she had just met. Sudden passion is what connected them years ago, and they can’t imagine how it will end any different for their daughter. When they get there, though, they find her genuinely happy and their own relationship reigniting.

So that’s a lighthearted romance in a beautiful place. What else do you want in frothy movies? Stars, of course, and Ticket to Paradise is bursting at the seams with them. The main appeal of this movie is the pairing of Julia Roberts and George Clooney as the parents, two people you want to see fall in love. Costarring with them is Kaitlyn Dever, Maxime Bouttier, and Billie Lourd.

As if this wasn’t enough of a surefire good time, Parker has made a career of delivering fun romances, including Imagine Me & You and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. He should bring this in for a smooth landing.

Ticket to Paradise is directed by Ol Parker and stars Julia RobertsGeorge Clooney, and Kaitlyn Dever. It will be released in the UK on September 16th and in the US on October 21st. For international release dates, click here.
