Giveaway: Win Tickets To RAMS [Australia Only]
Thanks to our friends at Roadshow Films, Film Inquiry is happy to announce that we’ve got 5 in-season double passes to give away for Rams to our Australian readers!
Jeremy Sims’ faithful and empathetic adaptation of Grímur Hákonarson’s Oscar-nominated Icelandic drama Rams has sneak previews across the weekend of October 23-25, with the film releasing in cinemas everywhere in Australia October 29. The plot synopsis is below:
In remote Western Australia, two estranged brothers, Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton), are at war. Raising separate flocks of sheep descended from their family’s prized bloodline, the two men work side by side yet are worlds apart. When Les’s prize ram is diagnosed with a rare and lethal illness, authorities order a purge of every sheep in the valley. While Colin attempts to stealthily outwit the powers that be, Les opts for angry defiance. But can the warring brothers set aside their differences and have a chance to reunite their family, save their herd, and bring their community back together?
In order to win tickets, we’ll be continuing our daily “Guess This Movie” contest over on our Twitter page (so make sure you’re following us!), but from Monday 19th October to Friday 23rd, we’ll be doing screenshots of famous remakes, be the first reader to correctly guess the movie each day and the tickets are yours (Limit one per person).
On Saturday October 24, at 1.00pm at Luna Leederville, there’ll be a special RAMS In Conversation event with Sam Neill, Michael Caton and Jeremy Sims for a ‘Live via satellite’ In Conversation event. Tickets available at www.lunapalace.com.au
Good luck! We’ll be in touch with the winners after the giveaway ends on Friday 23rd. This competition is strictly for Australian readers.
