THOSE WHO WISH ME DEAD Trailer

A firefighter stumbles into an unusual job in Those Who Wish Me Dead, the latest from co-writer/director Taylor Sheridan.

The post at a fire tower was supposed to be quiet. Hannah needed quiet, reeling as she was from a tragic forest fire that left several of her crew dead. Haunted by the mistakes she believes she made, she’s not up for a high stress position, but one falls into her lap when a bloodied kid turns up at her remote location. Taking him in and discovering that he’s being pursued by assassins, she must get both of them out of the wilderness and to safety.

Sheridan loves to look at whatever rough and tumble areas that are left in America , and he’s found another one here. The Wind River director specializes in neo-westerns, and what’s more neo-western than a troubled loner getting a chance at redemption by helping out a kid?

The man knows his sweet spot, so it’s no surprise he got an actor of Angelina Jolie’s caliber to carry the whole thing. She’s done it all before, including the action bits that come with this role, but it’s the pathos that will make or break this movie, which these two are primed to pull off. Co-starring with her is Finn Little, Aidan Gillen, Nicholas Hoult, and Jon Bernthal.

Those Who Wish Me Dead is directed by Taylor Sheridan and stars Angelina Jolie, Finn Little, Aidan Gillen, Nicholas Hoult, and Jon Bernthal. It will be released in the US in theaters and on HBO Max on May 14th, 2021. For international release dates, click here.
