Musician + Activist Documentary Film ‘Joan Baez I Am A Noise’ Trailer

Joan Baez I Am A Noise Trailer

“I was the right voice at the right time. It just shot me into another whole stratosphere.” Magnolia Pictures has revealed an official trailer for a unique documentary film titled Joan Baez I Am A Noise, described as “neither a conventional biopic nor a traditional concert film”. This doc initially premiered at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, and it also screened at SXSW, Hot Docs, San Francisco, and Nantucket Film Festivals. At the end of a 60-year career, legendary singer and activist Joan Baez takes an honest look back and a deep look inward as she tries to make some sense of her large, history-making life, and the personal struggles she’s kept private. Born in 1941, Baez has performed publicly for over 60 years, releasing more than 30 albums. Fluent in Spanish and English, she has also recorded songs in at least six other languages. She is an outspoken supporter of human rights and has always worked as an activist protesting in any way she can, making a real difference. She spends some of this doc talking about “quitting” all of her work now that she’s 82, and what fame means, plus everything else that she has been through in her extraordinary life. // Continue Reading ›
