‘Crvena Kap’ in Kragujevac, Serbia

'Crvena Kap'

Blood is one of the most vital fluids necessary for the existence of many forms of life on the planet. It’s a quintessential key to life.

Blood donations are essential across the globe and often save many lives. It’s always important to have a reminder of how critical blood donations can be. The residents of Kragujevac came up with a unique reminder for all to see.

This blood drop sculpture was designed as a reminder, but also to honor those that have donated blood. The design also happens to double as a drinking fountain, since water is also important to any living being’s body.

The designer of the sculpture, Milovan Pavlović Mipa, also crafted the “Muzikanti.”
